Why Steam Cleaners Are Good For Allergy Sufferers

As their name says, steam cleaners, or vapor cleaners, clean surfaces by using the steam force to dislocate and remove even hardened, or thick dirt. The operation principle is simple: the water in a tank gets heated to the boiling point, then it evaporates. The steam collected at the surface is directed through a nozzle against the surface we want to clean. Reaching the surface, the steam blows away the dirt and the vapors condensate on the surface, transforming themselves into water again. In order to prevent dried water stains of the cleaned surface, you can wipe it with some cloth.

The Hidden Benefit of Steam Cleaners

More than just removing the dirt, steam cleaners have an an additional benefit: the steam jet destroys also dust mites, mold, mildew, bacteria, germs and other micro-organisms which live on the surfaces in our households, and which can trigger allergic reactions in some people who are more sensitive to them. Those are the allergy sufferers, who can benefit from a better air quality and a life free of allergy symptoms, if they use steam cleaners in their living spaces.

Scientists have shown that there are millions of micro-organisms living around us, everywhere: in our bed lining, in our pillows, on our toilet seats, on our kitchen table, in the carpets, in the upholstery of our armchairs and sofas. Everywhere, there are lost of tiny, invisible creatures which are usually harmless and live in good peace with humans. Unfortunately, in some people, they are perceived as enemies, making the immune system attack them, in order to eliminate them from the body. This is the case of allergy sufferers, and this is why that can feel and react to things that we even don't suspect that exist. This is why, using steam cleaners instead of simply vacuuming the surfaces, those small particles and organisms are destroyed, so the allergic persons immune system don't have to fight anymore.
